As the first entry in the new EC Legacy Blog I am presenting this article that appeared in Issue Six of Electronic Cottage, July 1991. This interview was published LONG before I had had any direct interactions with Bret (or Zzaj the reviewer). I did not even remember that it was published in EC so long ago. Bret fits the mold of "one-of-a-kind" quite completely, he's a very generous host (he and his family graciously put up with me for several days back in 2006), and he has produced a wide variety of intriguing recordings over the course of many years.

Charles, it was a pleasure having you here for the NC leg of your trip. We made some cool videos and recordings (some with Scotty Irving), and you were an enjoyment. Isn't Eden a strange town??
