A few days ago, my friend Alex Carretero (Insane Muzak, editor of the compilation Golpea tu cerebro) sent me files of a rare cassette by my project EL HABITANTE ("The Inhabitant"), called "Enfermedad Venérea" ("Venereal Disease"). I knew the existence of this cassette, of course, but I did not remember its sound at all.

Listening to these sounds has been a pleasant surprise, not because I consider them to be great, but because memories of those recordings have been revived. It is lo-fi industrial noise. How could I have believed that I was a great and unique artist, making these terrible live recordings using a Teisco 60F synthesizer, a Casio, manipulation of cassettes and voice?! All recorded almost live on a cassette recorder (I remember Sanyo brand) that by that time was old and in poor condition. I could not specify the date of the cassette edition, but I remember starting to record the sounds in the summer of 1985. Listening to the sounds I can still feel that adolescent anguish.

That's quite a photo, Rafa! The recording is also quite revealing -- clearly you were a rebel at this time of your life. Now that I've listened, I think I need to make a Doctor appointment to get a hypodermic full of antibiotics.

Ask for Dr. McGee, he's a great specialist. That time was full of tastes for insane and bizarre things. Here there is no exception, but I was surprised to find other feelings. Thank you for your words, Charles!

Thank you very much for your words, Ken! You are very smart. Exactly I started recording these noises in July 1985. I remember an old valves radio of my grandfather

Hola Rafael!! esta bien destructivo esto. Me hace recordar una cinta que conservo por ahi y que grabe junto a un amigo en 1984-85 segun recuerdo. Me has inspirado a rescatarla y dejarla aqui. Saludos!!

In 1986, at the age of 16, I released Exenple,
my first cassette of industrial music,  which I recorded with my 13-year-old brother under the name Brigada Nadie.

I was a member of the futurist multidisciplinary group Equipo Estético Étika Makinal (or 3EM), and Spanish experimental noise band I.Q.C.M.
