This week, the Deprogramming Center's MAGNETIC BUNGALOW program will feature the 1991 cassette album: Hemoglobine by the French group, Quintet De L'Art. C. Goff III recently called attention to this rare album in HalZine 12. The tape is uniquely creative and theatrical, playful and unpretentious. Fans of Dadaism, The Residents, and classic lo fi fun will likely get a smile from this broadcast.
This event will take place Saturday, June 2, 2018, 12:00 AM USA Pacific Daylight Time on KOWS, 92.5 FM (that's Friday at Midnight), coming your way from Occidental, California, via Kansas City, Kansas. (see details over on the right side of this page for links).
If you find this appointment to be inconvenient, the link below will hook you up to the show any time: The Deprogramming Center 66 at the Internet Archive
See ya at the Bungalow.

That was a total delight from start to finish! I was very happy to get to hear the cassette that you reviewed in HalZine 12 the special Tape Art issue! The music was great, but I also enjoyed hearing all of the great in-depth commentary by you, Swami Loopy! I learned a lot!

VERY PLEASED to read Rafael and Hal's positive words above. Thanks much to you both for tuning in. Over many years I have made efforts to bring attention to the unique talents of Quintet De L'Art, but the opportunities here at EC and in Halzine (thanks Mr. McGee) provide a real bullseye audience for what this group had to offer. I hope that this show brings lots of smiles to the EC community.

Thanks for tooning in Mr. H. Reality, glad you dug the show. Yes, Exart put out some great recordings. I did a special on the label for my Lo Finest Show many years ago. The show doesn't have me offering a lot of background information for listeners, but it does feature some great recordings. Thanks to Jerry Kranitz, all the Lo Finest shows have been uploaded to the archive, so if you wanna listen to this one, go here:

Great show again Swami Loopynanda! It took me 2 days trying to listen to it, because of surrounding 'Ramadan'-sounds.

Wow, I can only imagine hearing this show surrounded by Ramadan sounds. Glad you enjoyed, and, since this one is permanently archived, you can tune in some other day when things around you have quieted down too, if you like.

Had a computer meltdown here and I'm just catching up on some EC stuff now that I'm back up and running. Great show Swami and I really enjoyed finding out about Quintet De L'Art! I'll keep my eyes and ears peeled for more info and sounds from this group.

Thanks for listening in, William, and glad the show brought a smile. I'm very sorry regarding your meltdown; I can only hope the break from techno world provided some old-fashioned pleasures!

Swami LoopynandaI am one of the several alter-egos of Charles Rice Goff III. I am best known as a radio host, although I have had some of my reviews published here and there over the years, and have even been involved in occasional recording projects. Archives
