Evan Cantor commented on The Residents – Eskimo (Revisited) review:
Ah yes, The Residents--one of the most significant influences. They had the same irreverent take on mainstream culture that we indulged in later with Walls Of Genius, plus the notion that you could make music that went beyond the boundaries of pop conventions. They weren't the only ones to ever do this, but they came along at a time when "we" were all prime for it. From Sun Ra to Pere Ubu, the Residents were at the top of the pack.

Interview with Jiblit Dupree/Danny McGuire:
Surprised festival soundd00d kicked off JD's band for "She Goes Both Ways". Seems pretty low key and understandable only to elder folk who listen & make sense of lyrics (not kidz, and not everyone). And even so, low key {maybe just ancient, not a parent and not rite with whatever deity--"in ma daze kids lived for whatever would ooze out the speakers" etc}. Glad it worked out for the best, heat beating etc,

Thanks to Leslie, JIblit, Hal and whoever else brought to bear.

Leslie Singer commented on More Raw Sewage from self-ordained ministers of the absurd:
Fun to see the original cassette J-cards! Interesting article. Great to read the origins of this album which is also a fun listen!

Great review of this cool disc. Makes me want to listen again!

Barry Stock commented on Diary of a Shiteater by Girls On Fire, 1983:
I just found this, after having not heard it since sitting in my friend Billy Taylor's bedroom in 1983. We got very stoned, and enjoyed this quite a lot. I recall a mixture of terror and laughter. I don't know where Billy bought the tape, but he was always plugged in. He had "Hi How Are You?" from Daniel Johnston, and corresponded with Jad Fair. We drove over to Daytona Beach listening to cassettes Jad had sent him, and then he would try and surf on the weak waves. This is just as chaotic, enjoyable, and real as I remember it 38 years ago. Thanks.

Andrew Fletcher commented on Juice Machine: Deep as a depthless pond Review:
Thank you for bringing this one to my attention - Chefkirk was one of the first "noise" projects I ever encountered and I have kept an eye on his work ever since. The Juice Machine project is great, and I would have missed this one had you not reviewed it - it's not on their BC listing.

Leslie Singer on The Residents – Eskimo (Revisited) review:

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I have the same feeling as you. Discovering all that is always a mystery, therefore very fun and enjoyable. This artist has so much creativity that only one name and one style overflows. Thank you very much for your time Nastya!

Niniji on Joseph Nechvatal Selected Sound Works Review:
Thank you for introducing us to another interesting work. And you are quite right! To me, all the tracks might as well have been made just yesterday, because I have not heard of them before.

A Hermit on rADio eND – Salvator Salvandus Review:
Nice of all of you (particularly my old pal, Daevid) to say hello with such positive syllables. I offer my reciprocals of admiration and my hopes that your own works continue to inspire new thoughts and ideas for the world to chew on and savor.

Rafael González on Joseph Nechvatal Selected Sound Works Review:
Dear Leslie, You are full of good and interesting memories.

Leslie Singer on Joseph Nechvatal Selected Sound Works Review:
Great to read this review and hear this work again. I remember hearing “Crown of Thorns” when it was included on the 1981 sound art compilation, “Just Another Asshole.” Just another reminder that what could be considered old can be considered new again…

Phillip Klampe on rADio eND – Salvator Salvandus Review:
Great work! Lots of variety and techniques but still cohesive as an album. Favorite track is Inner Transmission, but they are all very nice. Never occurred to me to affect vinyl by putting something underneath the record. Nice tip.

Rafael González on rADio eND – Salvator Salvandus Review:

Bill Northcott on Juice Machine: Deep as a depthless pond Review:
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Hal! This album is really hypnotic, and seems to be getting louder and more submersive (??) as I listen to it.

Leslie Singer on Juice Machine: Deep as a depthless pond Review:
