ELECTRONIC COTTAGE COMPILATION 6:
Rubber Stamp Sound
a C90 cassette compilation celebrating our EC Community
only EC Community members can participate
Send one audio recording on a standard audiocassette via postal mail
Your audio recording must not be longer than two minutes (120 seconds)
At the beginning of your two-minute recording
you must speak your name and where you live
because artist names will not be listed on the cassette cover!
Example:
“My name is Hal McGee and I live in Gainesville, Florida, USA.”
You can also speak the title of your recording, if you want
The only words that will be on the cassette cover will be the title and theme of the compilation
I will use custom-made rubber stamps to print the title and theme on the cover!
Each contributor will receive two copies of the cassette compilation
Please put your track at the beginning of the first side (Side A or the screws side) of your cassette
Deadline will be October 10, 2019
If I receive too much material I will give preference to submissions that were mailed and/or postmarked earliest.
The sooner that you send your track, the better!
Hal McGee
4230 SW 20th Lane
Apt. F
Gainesville, FL 32607 USA
I will dub copies of the compilation at home in real time
on Maxell UR90 Normal Bias cassettes
Cassette compilation covers will be rubber stamped with the title and theme
Cassette labels will be handprinted
I suggest that you mail your cassette to me with some form of tracking and registration.
If your tape gets lost in the mail you will need to send it again, and it will need to arrive before the deadline or you will not be included on the compilation.
I also suggest that you make a back-up copy of your track so that you can dub it onto a new cassette and mail it in case the first one gets lost.
Your two compilation copies will be unique: they will be rubber-stamped with black ink on a plain white j-card sleeve and no two copies will be alike due to the nature of rubber stamps
You can hand-decorate your two copies any way that you want, with additional rubber stamping, stickers, hand-coloring, collaging, etc.
You can keep, share, gift, trade or sell your copies.
If the information above is clear to you and you have no further questions, doubts, or need for clarification, you can stop reading now.
