We want you to participate and contribute!
Let's get started!
First of all, go to the Electronic Cottage Home Page:
https://www.electroniccottage.org/
On the Home Page you will see pictures representing the most recent posts at EC.
Click on each picture to go to the article it represents.
You can find a list of every article that has ever been posted at EC
on the EC Activity Log:
https://www.electroniccottage.org/ec-activity-log.html
Click on the underlined words that are highlighted in red in each sentence or listing and this will take you to the article page where you can read the article and then make Comments if you want to.
On each article page, you can comment on the article by clicking where it tells you the number of comments (in red lettering).
You can find this to the right of the title of the article.
For example...
On the EC Home Page click on any picture.
This will take you to the page where you can read the article.
When you get to the page, if you look to the right of the page title you will see that there have been 0 Comments (or whatever the number of comments at the time), in red lettering).
Click on Comments and a box will come up on the screen that says "Leave A Reply".
Fill in the info on the form and click "SUBMIT". You can also Reply to each comment.
To contribute your own articles, reviews, interviews, photo essays and news items at Electronic Cottage you need to create a Contributor Page.
to create your Contributor Page at EC
send to me, Hal McGee (EC Editor) by email:
- high resolution profile photo
- biography of less than 100 words
- title of your page, if you want one
- contact addresses (email, sites)
You can view an index of all of the EC Contributor Pages, and see what other people are doing!
You are urged to do so! Please interact with the other members through their Contributor Pages.
Make comments on their pages.
On that index page click on the pictures of the community members to go to their pages.
When you are ready to add a new article to your page - it can be on any subject of interest to you - contact me by email and I will help you to create the post on your Contributor Page.
you supply the raw materials (words and images) and I will create the post.
In your email please tell me:
- the title of your post
- put the text of your post within the email or attach a word file to the email
- there is no word length limitation
- all articles and posts must include high resolution pictures
- within your text please indicate where to place each picture
- make your articles as in-depth, detailed and personal as possible
- posts that consist solely of links will be refused (you can dump your links and run on Facebook! - please do it there!)
- your post can consist only of pictures and video, and texts/words are not required, except for the title of your post
