A new exclusive piece by writer George Charpied on some of his early experiences
but also a fleshed out perspective on the scene in its glory days and then what came after.
George Charpied: "The Global Cassette Community in the 1980's/ After and Into the Digital Age"
at The Living Archive of Underground Music
For me, reading the personal history bits (as opposed to the general history bits) in this presentation reinforce the image of the underground as a vast mystery, just waiting for adventurers to travel down its many remote tributaries and off-road paths. I appreciate you offering this E Ticket ride to us here, Mr. Campau. And of course, my regards to Mr. Charpied.
