In the summer of 2012 during a heartbreaking time in my life, my good friend John Shaffer allowed me to plunk around on his piano while he was cooking dinner for his family. This proved to be a cathartic experience and although I am not a piano player (hence the title: User Error), I did purge some frustrations during the process. I'm flying by the seat of my pants. User error and system failure. I hope there is something here of some value despite the futility of the pursuit.

Yes, Mr. Wax, pianos can be like keys for unlocking emotion. I can indeed feel some releasing going on in these pieces, thanks for sharing.

When i get back home i want to mess with my snare with brushes and use some of the percussion metals i have collected as cymbals. I really like what u did.

Al Margolis ( If, Bwana) has a piano board the guts of the inside of a grand piano fun as hell to play contact mics all over & miced, we used it on the Angwana Slither cassette on Matt Howarths bugtown label, great cartoonist, been commisioned for a few works, cds to accompany some comic books, all back in the day Slither, comic cds 90's

This is really the best kind of improvisation, since you are not a pianist you do not have the taste, memory, and habits of a piano player, so the music is as free and unhampered as can be. Beautiful results, naturally.
