If you have ever spent any time around a turkey, you know the "snood" can be fun to watch. Turkeys also make some wonderfully unique sounds.

You know, I like it! I recently visited that album to hear if there was a difference, between 'Yippee yi yo ki yay' on this album and the Aural Films-version.

Ha, Frank! Your inquiry may qualify you for "Taped Rugs Fan Of The Year" -- how many others could ask such a question, and if they could, how many would? Here's your answer:
The version on the Aural Films album was lifted from the original mix I did for the 1998 "Sings Songs For Ding Dongs" cassette album. The version on Somnific Snood was made directly from the original April 20, 1997 recording. I am not sure I can tell much difference between them -- can you?

Many thanks for tuning in and for your positive reinforcement, Leslie. I agree that allowing Now Onto Chicago to ferment in the Taped Rugs vault for 21 years has ripened it to its full potential. It seems our species is sadly inept when it comes to learning the lessons that could lift it to its true potentials... I guess that's why some of us end up as slaves to a life as artists, eh? Certainly is true for me personally.

Let us raise a glass to the idea that Thanksgiving brought diverse cultures together for a shared experience of community -- whether it be a myth or reality, the idea itself is worth a celebration.

I am a vegetarian, and one my first acts when Eric, Mike, and I founded Turkey Makes Me Sleepy back in the 1990's was to donate to the Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, NY, to save a turkey from the butchers.
