Hear a reviewer's (Frans de Waard) increasing frustration as Mystified continues to release similar music on different albums and labels throughout the 2000-'oughts. In this video, Thomas reads reviews of his music as posted in Vital Weekly, followed by comments on the reviews by Thomas himself.

Hilarious! I've never heard anyone review another reviewer's reviews before. Although, it seems so obvious now that you've done it, why doesn't it happen more often? FDW's approach to reviewing music can indeed be frustrating - are a few random first impressions while not really paying attention 'cause you're in the office working on other stuff really a "review"? His review of a release by my band Six Heads was both confused and confusing and seemed to be based almost entirely on his misinterpretation of the band name, assuming that we must be some kind of stoner jam band (even though there is absolutely zero evidence of that approach in any of our releases, including the one he was reviewing - we don't even play any normal instruments!). On the other hand, I may be being too hard on him. How do I know how attentive he is, how many times he listens to the material he's reviewing, etc.? And, in the end, Vital Weekly does provide a useful service to both musicians and audience.

It is a great 'zine, I just think no one could really handle all of that stuff and live a normal life. Glad you enjoyed.
