Friday the 13th this month worked out pretty well for me! Not one but TWO various artist compilations were released that day with my art gracing the covers! The first we all know about - "Electronic Cottage Compilation 004"! The other one came from Neal D. Retke's panpanpanaviandistresscall label. "It's Not Me, It's You" features 17 artists doing cover versions of tracks from the {AN} Eel Soundcloud page. My input includes the title, cover art, and track #2 which is my cover version of Neal's cover version of "Endless Blockades For The Pussyfooter" by Japanese hardcore band G.I.S.M.

You may notice some other Electronic Cottage friends on this album as well!

The compilation is available to be streamed or purchased at Bandcamp

I always like doing these Neal projects... always fun! He always comes up with an original subject and sometimes the profit of album-sales are for a good cause! I hope he will keep on doing these things for a long, long time!

One question for Neal... Do you do some kinda mastering before you put together the album?

And before I forget... great artwork!

I don't touch the tracks regarding mastering - It's not my thing & not my strong point at all. I've on rare occasions adjusted volume due to excessive clipping, but with non - noise specific stuff I don't lay a finger on it.

- Also, It's been a real pleasure having you contribute & getting to know you on these projects !

Wow, I'm impressed that Mr. Retke motivated such a big response for such an unusual theme -- cover versions of recordings from somebody's Sound Cloud page???... wow... is Neal a practitioner of voodoo?

-- Please Mr. Eel, reveal your secrets to motivating people to action!

I've achieved everything I've accomplished in life with my model good looks & finely honed pop sensibility ( I/E: It's as much a mystery to me as it is to you! )
