Greetings and Congratulations to The Baron, and to Mr. D... Wow, looks like Maintenant has gotten rather fancy since I had a little graphic of my own included back in 2010.

Was it a poem, or a graphic, or some other genre of your "work" that graced this ish?

Yes, indeed, Dada is close to my heart...or perhaps my pancreas. It's in there somewhere, I feel it wiggling around sometimes! I think I'm more of a Surrealist but, in my opinion, one can't be a Surrealist without being a Dadaist first, so, ipso fatso I must be a Dadaist too. And a Pataphysicist (but not a Pataphysician, as that requires a special license).

Thanks for the link to the Dada documentation! I will settle in and watch that as soon as time permits.

In the meantime, I'll just wait for my legs to return from their secret perambulations. I mean, what else can I do? Smear grape jelly on another crossword puzzle? I do try to keep busy but it just worries me so when they go off like that without telling me where they are going! I'm sure you understand.

My MaMa is my DaDa ~
Suberiously though, I really enjoy the visual art Mssr. Davison, and have been stimulated in my own creative process by your visual fluidity - I think it's great that we can share things here that stimulate & inspire - Looking forward to many years of retinal damage to come !

W.A.Davison

W.A.Davison is a Canadian multi-disciplinary artist who has been producing various forms of experimental art and music for over 35 years.

He studied fine art at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and experimental/electronic music composition with Prof. Steve Tittle at Dalhousie University before moving to Toronto in 1989.

As a composer, improvisor, and instrument-builder, Davison has performed and recorded solo (as The Bim Prongs, Songs of the New Erotics, Th W rbl r, Panic Engines, M.Stactor, etc.), in his own ensembles (Urban Refuse Group, Six Heads), and in numerous collaborations (with members of CCMC, Nihilist Spasm Band, AMM, MSBR, irr.app.(ext.), Nurse With Wound, and many others).

His work in various media has been performed, exhibited and published internationally.

Davison is also the founder of Recordism (described as "an ideospheric mutation of the meme known as Surrealism") and one half of The Recordists (with his partner S.Higgins).
