Hello Cottagers! Hope you all are staying safe and healthy during these weird, weird times. Like a lot of people, we're in lockdown here in Toronto but it's okay...for the most part, Torontonians seem to be handling it fairly well and the veneer of civilized behavior remains intact (except for the toilet paper panic right at the start of things. That was idiotic). Yes, it is stressful, and there have been extra difficulties. On the plus side, us introverted artist types are well-suited to self-isolation! I do miss performing, going to concerts, exhibitions, screenings, etc., and hanging out with friends but, aside from not performing, my creative life has not been negatively impacted. Speaking of which...

I have a few new things to announce!

First up, the April episode of RE/CYCLING is online now at Mixcloud. I'm quite pleased with how the series is going and am very happy with the April episode. If you'd like to give it a listen just use the player below or visit my Mixcloud page.
Next, FADE/DISSOLVE, my improvising trio with David Story and Gordon Way, is finding ways to continue working without meeting in person. Not nearly as fun but we did manage to put a new piece of sound/video art together which is available for viewing/listening in the player below (or at our Youtube channel or website).
And finally, I'm thrilled to be included (as The Bim Prongs) on a recently released digital compilation called ATTN:SPAN from UK-based ATTN Magazine! A fantastic collection of 10-second tracks by over 200 artists including Oren Ambarchi, Faith Coloccia, Norman Westberg, Ryoko Akama, Mats Gustafsson, Aidan Baker, Anla Courtis, David Fenech, John Butcher, Jos Smolders, Lasse Marhaug, Phil Minton, Richard Youngs, and many more! All proceeds from the sale of the album go to the Cool Earth charity. Check it out at the link below:

That's all for now. Please feel free to comment below, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

William, very happy to read, hear and experience your latest post. I’m so glad that you are staying safe and creative during these lock down times. Your track on ATTN:SPAN has a delightful demonic edge about it that gave me a good laugh at 7 am this morning. I also really enjoyed your video/sound collab and I look forward to giving a proper listen to April’s RE/CYCLING.

This video led me to check out the entire Fade Dissolve video collection you got posted up at UToob. I noted the "Doctors' Recommended" for Ice Fields and conquer -- for all of them. Inspired sounds and visions well worth exploring. Keep making (and sharing) that "new stuff"!

Thanks, Charles! Most of the FADE/DISSOLVE video work is done by Gordon Way with some suggestions/direction from David and I. Sometimes I also send Gord public domain footage to play with, as was the case with "Ice Fields".
