Hi, Bret. interesting podcast.. i do some loop work as well,i love hearing what other people are doing with the loops. i also enjoy learning how people set up and use their loop toys.is it the double looper or the single one. i have a double deluxe looper with the reverse and speed options. i also have the boss/roland rc202 loop station. it is a lil beast. i am still experimenting with it. the last thing i use for looping is. i have a digital delay pedal and u can look in the delay changing it into a loop. great idea on using the delay pedal as a metronome. i am going to have fun trying that out. thanks u for sharing. i am definitely going to check more of your arts. i see u are play with the Moon Men. Is this the same Moon Men that Dan Reeves plays with in Florida?.

Penny, I think that all of us approach signal-processing and looping differently... intuitively. I find that building loops is always a calming activity, and undo/redo functions allow for easy repairs when I get carried away and over-densify something I'm making. For the past 10 years or so a lot of the projects I've done with others incorporate some loops.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply. I am constantly going back to you tube to attempt to learn the tutorials on my looper...but i do enjoy her sooo much. 4/29/2019 03:15:40
I like learning how people use there tools and instruments to create interesting sounds. I'd like to get a looper sometime (I have delay at least) but until then I like learning more about them and enjoying what people do with them.

Hi Aimee. You can get a very decent looper to begin experimenting quite cheaply. My DONNER brand looper was only $45, and it features reverse and 1/2-speed playback functions!
