"An Artist's Toolkit"
Although multi-disciplinary artist Thomas Park has largely retired, at least as the musical act mystified, throughout the years he has collected hundreds of gigabytes of resources that are free for artists of any kind (and non-artists) to use and enjoy.
Feel free to visit “An Artist’s Toolkit”-- save the pdf, use the links, share:
Thomas hopes that his efforts can help to enhance the creativity of other artists and creative folk in the larger world community.
Editor's note: This bulletin board announcement is Thomas Park's first post at Electronic Cottage. He has also created a Personal Page, which you can visit here.
New Stilletid release:
Ditlev Buster - folk & støj
Ever since I heard Le Noise by Neil Young, I’ve been wanting to do an effected acoustic album in that vein. Electro-Acoustic, so to speak. My approach to it was to write some great songs, with lyrics in my native tongue, since that is the language I know best, record it all with a decent microphone, then run it through guitar-pedals and Garageband for Mac OS, then put it on tape to discover what the hiss did to it. I added a few hidden tracks done with Sampling or MIDi, and two cover songs. Have a listen, I personally think it turned out nice and lo-fi. And I had Fellow EC columnist Jen Sandwich dig up the photos for the album cover. They were taken with a vintage Bell & Howell camera about 2007 in St. Petersburg, Florida. I strongly recommend ordering the tape rather than the download to get the full lo-fi and messed up effect, but the download is pretty damn messed up and lo-fi too.
