This is just the sort of thing that is going to ruin the music industry. If creativity ever becomes genuinely more important than profit, our entire system is bound to crumble into rubble.

I would like to remind you that each contributor to the compilation can request five free download codes to share the compilation with friends and fans. This is a good way to promote the compilation. I have begun the process of mailing CDR copies of the compilation to all contributors. Hopefully I will complete this task by Thursday, at the latest.

Finally got to listening, and hey, that's one great comp!

I hope you all won't mind if I don't quite feel like I know you all from it yet, that'll take a bunch of listenings. For now, I feel like I just arrived at a party and everyone's just been introduced to me and I already forgot all their names, haha!! But I know every track was great, unique and interesting to listen to....

On Tuesday, July 17, 2018 Rob Demperio played several tracks from Electronic Cottage Compilation 004 on his "Lumpytunes! Definitely Difficult Listening" program on WSLR, Sarasota, Florida Community Radio. He played EC Comp tracks by Ditlev Buster, Frank, {AN} Eel, Thomas Park, Lord Litter, Phillip Klampe, Dylan Houser, osvaldo cibils, Jen Sandwich, and shatter wax. The latter two artists were made a guest appearance on the show. You can listen to the entire two-hour program here: https://wslr.org/shows/lumpytunes/

The Postal Service still has not removed the blue box like they threatened that they would do on the 19th! I talked to my apartment complex manager about the problem and he complained to the lady who delivers our mail!

I have mailed out 58 CDR copies of EC Compilation 004. This coming weekend I will get 40 more info cards printed and will mail more CDRs to people who I think might be interested in the compilation. The compilation has been downloaded 19 times. All tracks combined have been streamed 1,740 times. Not surprisingly the track that has been streamed the most times is the first one, Ditlev Buster's "Welcome to the EC compilation". Overall the tracks have been listened to all the way through at a fairly high percentage, and this is probably due to the tracks being short.

Great! Many thanks for the new report - yes - I'm also very convinced that keeping the tracks short was a very good move! Most *classic singles* are not much longer that 2 minutes...!

It's a pleasure to be involved in this quality effort. I was just recently re-visiting this ( It's on fairly high rotation around here ) and thinking how coherent it is yet so wildly different - No mean feat pulling that off ~! Kudos to all involved

I have been making my own homemade experimental music since 1981.

I was an active participant in the 1980s Cassette Culture scene, and I operated the Cause And Effect Cassette Distribution Service and label, and recorded solo as Dog As Master, and in a duo as Viscera.

From 1989 to 1991 I published six issues of the original Electronic Cottage print magazine.

In the last 36 years I have recorded, produced and released more than 300 solo audio works, collaborations and compilations.
