What a very marvellous event. I just think it's wonderful how Hal and all of the people involved manage to create something so cool and vibrant. Well done to everyone.

Thanks for documenting this event so thoroughly! It's almost like being there. I especially enjoyed the slideshow. Hope Jen will share her photos on here too. Great work by everyone involved!

P-A, I think that Jen does indeed have plans to create her own post about Racket Fest #2 in which she will publish her photos. I think she took a lot more photos than I did so it might take a little while to sort through and process those photos. Aimee and Penny took lots of photos and videos too. Maybe they too will create their own EC posts about Racket Fest #2.

Hal is correct, I will be doing my own post here. I’ve been experiencing some computer problems but I hope to have that fixed by tonight! 🤞🏼

Great! Any of the Racket Fest #2 participants will be welcome to file their own separate reports on the event.

Rarely do I say "I would like to have been there". I would very much like to have been there. An extraordinary place, varied acts and from the pictures I can read a fine atmosphere. Congratulations!

From beginning to end, the experience of watching these clips and listening to the files is like a fading summer memory from better days. It is so good that I feel I must have been there, and in fact I am making myself believe I was. Don’t you ever dare correct me.

Just had a chance to listen to the whole fest, while completing an oil painting. Very cool sounds! Lots of fascinating grooves, psychedelic otherness, so much more musical than I had expected. When the painting dries, I'll get a photo up on EC ("painted while listening to Racket Fest").

I keep coming back to this Racket Fest page, I enjoys the noise! I only wish I could have been there, both to listen and to participate. This kind of event cements the sisterly-brotherly community of noise artists and ensures that it's a fun thing and a lively enterprise.

I have been making my own homemade experimental music since 1981.

I was an active participant in the 1980s Cassette Culture scene, and I operated the Cause And Effect Cassette Distribution Service and label, and recorded solo as Dog As Master, and in a duo as Viscera.

From 1989 to 1991 I published six issues of the original Electronic Cottage print magazine.

In the last 40 years I have recorded, produced and released more than 300 solo audio works, collaborations and compilations.
