I have an idea for Electronic Cottage Pins or Badges!

Hello fellow ECers! I really enjoyed looking at the logo designs that were featured in this post by Mike Nobody:
https://www.electroniccottage.org/mike-nobody/13-possible-electronic-cottage-logos

I thought it would be pretty cool to have pins for members. I am only a little obsessed with pins. We could wear our EC badge with pride. Hal mentioned that the red sometimes doesn’t reproduce well on computer screens but would look good printed. I am partial to any of the logos that have EC on them in white as it makes a nice contrast. But don’t trust me as I’m color blind. Any thoughts/ideas/inspirations/innovations to this? If we can come to a consensus on this I would love to order some and have them ready by the October 7th Electronic Cottage themed Apartment Music show.

 Thanks!

Pins are nice, but please -- we went through a vibrant discussion regarding "MEMBERS" when this site started. My understanding is that I am not a "member" if EC (nor is my alter ego), and I would like to keep it that way. My request here for what it's worth -- if pins are made up, ANYBODY can get one who wants one.

I definitely don't want to leave anyone out and that was not at all my intention. Sorry if it came off that way I suppose I meant more metaphysically "member" of this subculture. Pins will of course be available for everyone.

I love the idea of pins, but I agree with C. Goff III as well: they shouldn't be restricted to members! Either way, great idea!

As an aside, Aimee and I collect pins from state and national parks, as well as other places (such as St. Photios Greek Orthodox Shrine in St. Augustine; we're not Greek Orthodox, but the art is amazing!)

Do we have any strong reactions or ideas of which one would be acceptable? I personally really like the one in the post here.

It's probably been 20 years since I last wore a pin, but I am up for this one! Good idea

If everyone likes the one featured in the post I will go ahead with that. There's nothing that says we can't do more/others in the future!

Will the small white lettering show up okay on the small badge?

So UPDATE! I am putting in the order today. I am sorry it took me so long but I wanted to find something specific and it took a bit. I really hope I will have these by October 7th for the apartment music show.

I got into experimental music through my grandparents. My grandfather exposed me to jazz at an early age. A gift of a book with articles about John Cage and
Stockhausen got me interested. I love doing music and art, and hopefully will be able to start writing more through this outlet.
