EC Editor Hal McGee reporting:
This morning at about 2:00, while I was working on the Electronic Cottage website, I listened to the cassette version of Tapes 1970's/1980's: Treasures For Deep Divers, It is a pleasing mix of rare and previously un-released tracks by Charles Rice Goff III of tape collage, Frippertronic-style tape loop forays, improvisational bits, and cover versions. The two covers, "You're Sixteen" and "When I'm Sixty-Four" were recorded by Goff in 1973, when he was about 14! The other more experimental, more electronic tracks all date from 1979 to 1981.

I’ve been looking for this for years! Thanks Hal! I remember hearing his “ You’re Sixteen” cover on Myspace, or somewhere like that, and having that version on the brain for weeks!

Since the fresh start of EC, I listened to new songs/albums/shows/... every day... it keeps the doctor away.

I am honored that Hal brought this tape of ancient artifacts to the attention of the EC, and further honored to receive such positive feedback from all the talented artists who commented here. My thanks to all for taking time to shake these antique Rugs!
