THE SUPER CHURCH OF WILLIAM BURROUGHS

From the collage techniques developed by William Burroughs and from the audios recorded in these two very antagonistic and different LPs ("Fornicating Female Freaks, Bold Butchy Lesbians, AC-DC Sex" and "David Wilkerson - The Coming Persecution") I build this simple sound tribute: "The super church of William Burroughs"

Always nice to hear a fun tribute to WSB, thanks for sharing, Juan.

I lived in Lawrence, Kansas, for 12 years, and throughout that time, Mr. Burroughs' post office box was located directly below my own (both while he lived and afterwards, managed by James Grauerholz). The postal workers accidentally put WSB's mail into my box on several occasions too (of course, I always redirected it to its rightful destination!).

I offer this link to a letter that I wrote to the editors of the Lawrence Journal World back when the local legislators rejected a proposal to name a creek after WSB (the idea was approved a few years later)

Neal, just to avoid confusion, maybe you already know this -- the Nova Convention that your album referenced took place in New York in 1978. It was more of a poetry sort of gig than the more musical second one that happened in Lawrence in 1996. Zappa had already left the world before that one took place (RIP, 1993).
