It's not a very DIY project, but in case anyone here's interested, here is the new Little Fyodor EP, "Pithy Romantic Ballads," as posted on Bandcamp:  Pithy Romantic Ballads, by Little Fyodor.

Here's a little anecdote.  When I posted the "event" on Facebook, it defaulted to me posting via the Walls Of Genius FB page without my realizing it till it was kinda too late to start over.  So it went out to people saying the event was posted by Walls Of Genius.  Not what I wanted it to say, but again, not worth starting over again over as people had already responded by the time I realized the error.  After the show (last night), somebody whom I don't know by name posted that they thought it was going to be a Walls Of Genius reunion, but oh well, it was good anyway (or something to that effect)....

I should probably also mention that the lead off song, "Trump Loves You", was originally done as part of a Walls Of Genius jam recorded with Hal and released by Walls Of Genius on the No Surviving Humanity, um, release....

LF -- Some pretty heavy rockin on this one, and you got some very talented musicians on board to carry the tunes too. I'm partial to the "Not"y pieces myself (Not Good Enough; Not Of My World), where the vocals and attitude are way up front.

Is this an "online only" or is there a hard version for us old fashioned relic people of the 20th Century? If so, is there a possibility for a trade, maybe for my Loose Hinges?

Glad to see you're keeping up the fine work! Carry on.

Thanks for the kind words, folks!

Heh, yeah, definitely more on the "rock" side of things than most things Electronic Cottage, right? I think the relatively typical rock music enthusiast might yet find this music WERD and such, but who knows really and what the hell anyway. I do what I'm driven to do, whatever parameters it ends up falling into, as I'm sure we all do!! Hopefully my "rock" gives the listener both what rock has to offer and maybe a little of what it doesn't typically offer, too! Oh, and my band has some influence on this rock thing, as well.....

Charles, the answer to your questions are yes and yes! A mass produced CDR (albeit in a small run) is in the works, just waiting on the artist to finish up a few things. We were hoping against hope to have it ready by our first live performance in months this past Saturday, but we didn't quite make it! After that I told the artist she didn't have to rush. I think she said it'll be a few more days.... And then, VOILA! Might make a cassette too. The guy at the hipster bookstore says the kids'll buy only cassettes and vinyl now, no CD's!!

Funny about the nots! I actually hadn't noticed that! But then, my songs have run into patterns before, often starting with "I" or such.

Well okay, thanks for listening, that's the most important thing, though liking it is a close second, haha! You folks are all the greatest and I certainly rue at times spending more time in this "rock" world than in the world of homemade experimental sounds, but fate takes you where you almost can't control it sometimes........

Oh BTW, the video (of Trump Loves You) is almost finished, maybe I'll share it in these comments when it is.... So stay tuned!!

Thanks again and I love you all!!!

Groovy. I shall cook up a little package and post it in the upcoming daze. I look forward to seeing your finished artwork package thing. I can't believe today's kidz are buying cassettes and vinyl -- this is the age of streaming playlists for crysake! I bet it's really the old farts who are buying up all those records and tapes... In the year 2080, CDs are likely going to be plasic gold to all those "kids" of the early 21st Century.

Ha Ha! I wrote "plasic," meant "plastic," but thought "classic."

My two cents on possessing a hard copy audio thing vs. listening online: I got my CD, thanks much L. Fyodor, and repeated listening on loudspeakers reveals some exquisite production and musicianship -- especially impressed by the drummer. My new fave track is the remake of "Not Good Enough." I'm rockin' with ya' Fyodor!

Remake? Not sure why you call it that, do you just mean how it sounds on disc versus Bandcamp? Well not to quibble, big thanks good buddy CIII!!!

    Walls Of Genius

formed in 1982, a musical performance-art comedy experimental noise ensemble, featuring everything from musique concrete, sound collage and extended rock improvisation to demented top-40 parodies, free jazz, industrial and audio experiments of all kinds, mostly fitting in no category whatsoever.

Over the course of the next four years, Walls Of Genius took the underground by storm and rained on every conceivable parade, all with tongue firmly in cheek and cockeyed smiles.

The brain-child of disgruntled musician and self-anointed "Head Moron" Evan Cantor, Walls Of Genius' other founding members ('genial genii') were the famous wild-man Little Fyodor and electric guitar wizard Ed Fowler.

Stalwarts of the early 80's cassette culture scene, Walls Of Genius was both loved and reviled in equal measure.

By 1986 WoG had disbanded and was inactive until reunion sessions in 2014 re-ignited the flame. They happily soldier on, voices crying in the wilderness of madness that is this world in the 21st century.
