Lord Litter - Lights Out - The cassette that never was - 2016
With the years I shied away from promoting myself - it became a bit odd writing about myself .. praising things I've done. I gonna make this one an exception because the original release was meant to appear on HalTapes in 2016. "The cassette that never was...a journey into the bizarre - a special 60 minutes production meant to be released on Hal McGee's HalTapes in 2016 on cassette. The very moment it was finished Hal McGee had to stop the label for various reasons." So I finally put it on archive.org in march 2017. Some people seem(ed) to enjoy it .. so if you want to check it out .. here it is at the Internet Archive

LL -- I don't think too many people will give you a black mark for a little self-promotion here and there, especially in this case. It is too bad that you missed out having Hal promote Lights Out through his short-lived Kassette Kult label, which would have surely brought this production a dose well-deserved attention. I've listened to this album several times myself; it's filled with all sorts of genres and non-genres and moods, and I always seem to hear something new each time I listen. For my ears at least, you got a hit here, and I'm glad you're sharing it on EC.

easy does it, Litter! Been listening to this while I was looking at stuff in my computer... now my wife is playing Willie Nelson downstairs so he is mind-melding with you, crying about loving you while the water burbles on your track. Cool combination of acoustic stuff with sounds and weird electronics. Too bad about it never being released on Haltapes. "once I was happy..."

A while ago, I got this recording of your archive.org site and I enjoyed it very much! It was(I think) the first thing that I heard of you... so, a little self-promotion is ok, I guess.

Dear Lord Litter, it is perfectly fine and okay to share links and news about your own music and projects with the other community members. Here at Electronic Cottage we have created a community in the truest sense. We want to know about and share what the other community members are interested in. And we hope that the other members will look and listen and comment and give feedback on what we share with and offer to them. I am weeding out and blocking attempts at impersonal promotion. This is why I will not allow posts that consist of nothing but links. All posts at EC are made in the context of a community based on friendship, support, collaboration and mutual independent thought and artistic expression.
